Kudos to all who helped us survive Hurricane Wilma.

To the planners and the city council, it was wonderful to be able to call an emergency number for information. The "Code Red" telephone calls were a brilliant move.

To the police, firemen, volunteers and cleanup crew - thank you for your untiring efforts to return Marco Island to some sort of normalcy and to see that water and electricity be restored as soon as possible.

We also thank the spirits of the Calusa Indians for keeping Marco Island on the map.

Just wanted to add my "Thanks" to all the rest. Your site was the best and earliest with great info. Thanks for the photo gallery also. We love Marco and will be back as soon as possible.

It's so good to see your beach cam working so quickly after the storm. Hurricane Wilma was an uninvited, unwanted guest... or should I say intruder to beautiful Marco Island.

My husband and I reside in New York, but our heart is in Marco Island. It is still our dream to retire there.

My heart goes out to any of you who suffered damage in the storm. Hang in there... Marco is worth the perseverence!

We will be back to our little island as soon as possible. It may be bruised, but the spirit of Marco Island cannot be destroyed!

Hello from Massachusetts. We will be there in 16 days - I can't wait to return back to Marco - we have been going down for 14 years. No other place tempts us. It is our perfect paradise.

We were so saddened to hear that the hurricane was heading directly for the island. We hope all is well with everyone

Hope you guys are all recovering from the storm now. We are due to visit in five weeks time and so looking forward to our visit from the UK. Our hearts are in Marco - hope you're all OK.

Delighted to find your webcam up and running so soon after Wilma and to find that beach has not been washed away!

We arrive this Friday in Marco Island from England, so are very reassured to learn that this magical place survived so well.

Has anyone any news on what the fishing is like down the end of Tigertail and Sand Dollar?

Re: First-time author

Truly amazing! It is difficult to put my feelings into words about this remarkable young man, but I am so touched and emotional. Whenever I read about him, I have to say something!

Kyle, may God continue to bless you and may you continue to spread God's word through your messages and inspiration to all! You are truly amazing and remarkable.
